About

There are many resources available about the lives of the Saints, and the actions or events that have earned them a seat in Heaven; but what about the earthly miracles that allowed them to become formally recognized as saints?

More than anything else, this website is a research project turned database. It is intended to inspire curiosity and help the unbelievable become a little more believable.

This collection of profiles and summaries are only as accurate as the sources used to create them. Someday we hope to witness a saintly miracle, but until then, we will have to rely on other people’s accounts. Wherever possible, these writeups are based on primary and secondary sources. We have provided the list of sources used, as well as additional resources on the topic, so that readers can continue to explore on their own and draw their own conclusions.

“The Prayer” stated at the top of each miracle page is either the actual prayer as historically documented, or what the author believes to be a plausible alternative to the prayer that was prayed. The Saints may be Catholic, but miracles can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere, and most importantly, anyone can pray for a miracle. All it takes is a prayer.

We Can’t Do It Alone

There are over 10,000 saints. That’s over 20,000 documented miracles that the Church keeps records of. In order to get anywhere near researching and summarizing that number of miracles, many hands are needed. At the bottom of each page you will find credit given to the researcher/s for that particular profile.

If there is a Saint or Miracle you’d like to see included in this database, please contact us to learn more about what it takes to be one of our contributors.
